About Us

Arrogone Archers is an incorporated body affliliated with Archery Australia and Archery Tasmania

It has been created by a group of archers to satisfy the need of a club that is:

  • Nearer to the Hobart CBD
  • In a sheltered area
  • Convenient for school and community groups

We have equipment to suit beginners and groups of all ages.
We can advise, recommend, and source new equipment, and we have a number of qualified coaches with many years of experience.

The standard hours for the range are 10am-Noon on Saturdays, and the same on Wednesdays for members, however the range is sporadically open throughout the week, weather dependent, when a field captain is attending*.

Attendees please note: There are no toilets on the reserve with the closest public toilet being approximately 5 minutes up creek road at the John Turnbull park.

*The field is part of a public access reserve and those practicing archery on the field at times not designated by the club may be prosecuted for being unlawfully armed in a public place and the club may seek compensation for damage to property

How Much?

We thank our gracious hosts, the Glenorchy City Council, as well as the residents of the neighbourhood, for allowing us the use of the Gerrard Street Reserve

How to find us:

Arrogone Archers is located in the Gerrard Street Reserve, West Moonah

Access to the club by car is through a gate on Highfield Street, or by walking up the hill from the carpark at the base of Gerrard Street, coming off Creek Road

During the winter months, or after heavy rain, we do not recommend driving down into the range unless in a 4WD. Alternative parking is at the aforementioned carpark, at the bottom of the hill.
